Multi-media artist Siebren Versteeg often writes a code, goes to bed, and wakes in the morning to see what the computer created over night. His works use jokes and puns to refine the tautological nature of material and immaterial information. He attended the University of Illinois for Graduate Study in 2003 and Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2004. He has exhibited at the Beacon Project Space, Beacon NY; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; Wexner Centre for the Arts, Columbus; The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadephia; Smart Project Space, Amsterdam; Prague International Biennale, Max Protetch Gallery, NY.
